Visits with Ontario MPPs
February 27, 2017
Following on last year's successful meetings with 24 MPP's, once again Architectural Conservancy Ontario representatives will be at Queen's Park to talk about why, even with a stronger Ontario Heritage Act, we are still losing our heritage.
Unlike previous years, when we adopted a broad approach to the importance of heritage to the Province, this year we will focus on no more than three specific items where the Province can play an important role. The ACO Policy Committee has been tasked with the responsibility to develop this year’s strategy and approach.
This year’s visit will be held on February 27th, immediately after Heritage Week. Our volunteers are doing our part, but we could use some help plugging the policy and legislative loopholes that cost us important community landmarks.
Our members will meet at Queen's Park and be organized into small teams to attend pre-arranged meetings with MPP's. If you are a member of ACO and are interested in joining on one of the teams please contact Laurie Bryson, the scheduler for ACO.
